The HP8300 itself supports up to 32GB of RAM, but the refurbisher has the option of bringing the unit to 8GB with any combination of modules, so all memory slots might already be full. You could definitely replace the current RAM with 1600-MHz non-ECC DDR3 SDRAM; (2) SO-DIMM modules to get 16GB.
