Q: QuestionI would like to know of this computer has HDMI ports. And if possible, id like to see pictures of the back side of the tower.

• A:Answer It depends on the particular Corel program title and version. Like other Windows computers, this one will run Corel programs for Windows but not Corel programs for Mac. Most of the Corel 2020 programs currently available will run fine on this computer and on Windows versions as old as version 7. Most ancient Corel programs for Windows will still work under Windows 10, but some may require configuration to Windows 7 compatibility mode. 32-bit Windows platforms include a 16-bit subsystem, so old Windows 3 and MS-DOS programs can usually be configured to work on 32-bit version of Windows 10 (with printing being a challenge); but this HP computer is 64-bit, so old 16-bit DOS and Windows software mostly won't work except in a virtual machine (software not included). Some virtual machine software requires Hyper-V enabled in BIOS. Some owners of the HP8300 have been unable to get Hyper-V to work even with the latest BIOS upgrade, so I wouldn't recommend this computer for use as a VMWare host running 16-bit software like Word Perfect for DOS or Corel Ventura 4.2 on a 32-bit virtual machine.

• A:Answer Word and Excel are part of the Microsoft Office suite which is NOT included free with the Windows operating system, although a 30-day trial version of Office 360 is often bundled with new computers. Most users could get by with Google Docs and Google Sheets, which are included with Google Drive, which is free; but for full office suite functionality and excellent compatibility at no cost, I'd recommend installing LibreOffice.

Open-box items used for in-store display may similarly be sold to a refurbisher to replace missing accessories and confirm full functionality prior to sale. My HP8300 arrived missing a half-height back plate from a slot with no adapter installed -- not worth complaining about.
