    • Answer The customer can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro if they own Windows 10 Pro, but BestBuy currently sells the refurbished HP8300 in both a 1TB Windows 10 Home and a 2TB Windows 10 Pro version, at about the same price.

    • Answer The HP support website includes a wireless LAN driver among the drivers assigned to this configuration, but there's no external antenna on the box, so I don't believe it's in there. I no longer have a physical unit with which to investigate.

    • Answer The Geek Squad would probably give you a quote if you called them. Best Buy sells multiple versions of Laplink PCMover and these come with free technical support from migration experts. I'd recommend using a LapLink USB cable.

    • Answer There's a port for the built-in ethernet. I think you'd have to add a wireless adapter to connect without an ethernet. cable. That could be via internal slot or via USB.

    • Answer A second hard drive could be installed under the DVD drive, but good luck finding a drive carrier that fits. It's probably an HP-only part.

    • Answer It has a VGA port and a DisplayPort. The DisplayPort is similar to HDMI, but different. There are adapters which may work to get high resolution from the PC to a television, if the TV doesn't have a DisplayPort and you're not satisfied with VGA. Recording movies is not trivial, so beyond the scope of this response.

    • Answer Actually, there's an empty 5.25" drive bay under the DVD and one or two unused SATA connections on the motherboard, so yes, a second hard drive could certainly be wedged in there somehow. I don't remember there being side access to screw anything into place, though. HP probably used some proprietary drive carrier that snapped in place.

    • Answer Some sources say Intel graphics, others say AMD graphics built into the motherboard. 10 USB ports, with four on the front. Four on the back are 3.0.

    • Answer I am not sure of the warranty on these computers, but I would suggest getting a one year Geek policy. These are large corporation recycled computers and the refurbisher is doing very little to them before offering them to Best Buy. The unit I purchased still had it's Admin rights limited so I could not perform Window updates, a common practice of large corporations. With the help of Microsoft, I worked thru this issue, but they did recommend wiping the hard drive and installing a fresh copy of Windows 10 to get read of all of the imbedded rules left over from the previous owner.

    • Answer The on-board graphics may not be sufficient for modern computer games. I don't know if there is a graphics card slot on the mother board or not. The processor and memory are enough to run PC games.
