Actually, there's an empty 5.25" drive bay under the DVD and one or two unused SATA connections on the motherboard, so yes, a second hard drive could certainly be wedged in there somehow. I don't remember there being side access to screw anything into place, though. HP probably used some proprietary drive carrier that snapped in place.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't recommend trying. There is a 3.5" drive bay under the power supply currently used by a 3.5" drive. There's a 5-1/2" drive bay currently used by the DVD drive. You could add another SATA or SSD drive using the on-board controller and rest it atop the power supply, but then you couldn't close the case. Except for a temporary arrangement during a data transfer, adding drives externally via USB makes more sense.
