This computer comes with Windows 10 installed and you will need to verify with each software maker of your old software if the version you own is Windows 10 compatible. Do not assume they will without checking first. Best of luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I was able to install my Microsoft Word 9 on this computer. I still had my Microsoft Word cd, put it in the drive and called Geek Squad. They installed it for me. They said it may not be supported by Microsoft in the future, but for right now it is working fine. Love this program and use it all the time so I wanted to have it on this computer.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Always remember you can run 32 bit programs on a 64 bit machine, but you cannot run 64 bit programs on a 32 bit machine, so you will be fine by installing older versions of Microsoft Word. As far as "Other Programs", I cannot answer that without knowing what they are. If they ran on an older PC running a Windows operating system, than yes, you can install them, they will work fine. Windows runs 32-bit programs through the WoW64 compatibility layer on 64-bit versions of Windows, and 64-bit Intel and AMD processors are backward compatible and can natively execute 32-bit software. I hope this helps
