• I have not seen the inside of this case so I am unsure if there will be the physical room inside but I can tell you that the motherboard has only two SATA ports on it and both of them are populated by the included HDD and CDROM Drive. • No. There are plenty of USB ports to connect a portable disk. I copied my "slave" to a new us b drive and worked just fine.

• There's only two slots. One occupied with the 1TB HD and the other with DVD writer. I going to see about removing the writer and replacing with a solid state hard drive. So I would suppose to could do the same with your old drive.
