You could connect this PC to your old monitor directly via the D-Sub (VGA) connection or via a HDMI to DVI adapter cable.
A:AnswerThe motherboard on this PC only has two SATA ports. They are populated by the original HDD and the CDROM Drive. I think the CDROM Drive uses a special power connector so the only real option for a SATA SSD would be to replace the included HDD.
This motherboard does include a M.2 SSD slot however. You'll pay more but you'll be able to keep the original HDD. Not all m.2 drives are created equal however. I would call HP Support to see if they have a list of supported m.2 drives for this PC.
