"The extremely short battery life I found out was because I was misusing" -- So once again you are posting misleading information because you can't even clearly state what the problem was, how it was resolved, or who helped you resolve it. And then you turn around and say the laptop's battery still isn't performing as you'd like. Yet you don't mention the activity performed, screen brigthenss, battery saver on/off, wifi on/off, bluetooth on/off, refresh rate, background apps on/off, etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I asked on here because it is made for questions and links to both best buy and HP support. Not to “post misleading information”. The laptop is great overall and exactly what I was looking for. The extremely short battery life I found out was because I was misusing but even using as attended not receiving 12 hours of battery life.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Please explain why you haven't reached out to Best Buy or HP for assistance? Then explain why you haven't ask for a replacement from Best Buy? After you explain these two things then explain why you have gone on the internet for ideas. Could it be that you just want to post misleading information?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your purchase of this HP Spectre! I am sorry that you have not had a good experience with it, especially with the battery life. You have four different options open to you. The first option is to contact HP Support, the second option is to contact Geek Squad support, especially if you are a member. The third option is to exchange the laptop since you are within the Best Buy return period. You may return it to any Best Buy store. The first two options look into the cause of why the battery is discharging so quickly. The final option is to calibrate the battery. HP has resources on its support site on how to calibrate a laptop battery.
