• Sorry, my mistake. The USB-C speed is 5Gbps, not 5MBps.

• USB-C but not Thunderbolt. Interface gives 5 MB/second. No idea about the SSD, but given the size of the device, it is unlikely there are any user upgradeable parts inside or that it can even be opened and resealed.
