QuestionThe model that is on sale this week for $599--does it require activation?I'm interested, but don't want a 2 year contract with Verizon. I understand the LTE probably won't work with another carrier, but that's not an issue. I just use Wifi on a tablet and beam that from a phone if I'm not around anything.

- Answer I purchased at Best Buy and did not need to purchase a Verizon contract. I have T Mobile. I removed the Verizon SIM and installed a pay as you go SIM from T Mobile. It recognized my T Mobile SIM, but I have not purchased and data to test out completely. It does pick up the signal and says T Mobile so I do not see a problem with it working.

- Answer Good question. This computer does not have an HDMI port. It comes with 2 USB-C ports. You can use a USB-C to HDMI adapter to make it connect via HDMI. I hope this helps.

Question4G LTEDears, Would you please advise regarding the 4G Adapter, is it locked for particular cellular or it can work with any available network as i intend to travel with that laptop to EGYPT in south Africa and i will need to use one of available networks 4G networks there to access internet...MANY THANKS

- Answer First, read my comments to my review. (rtkegger) I have been through 3 of them and all have failed. I would not want to take this on a trip where I had to depend on it. It is setup for Verizon, but you should be able to get it unlocked.I never got one to work long enough that I was able to activate the 4G. I think your best bet is to get an external MiFi device and a more proven machine. I am on day 3 of a Lenovo YOGA. These have been on the market longer so I am hopeful that I will get more than 4 weeks out of it.

QuestionIs the TrueSense camera read-facing?If the TrueSense camera is rear-facing, it would not be usable for gesture recognition, would it?

- Answer First read my review and update under comments (rtkegger) The true sense cameras face away from you not looking at you. Currently there is no software available that would do gesture recognition. Very cool technology, but I don't think the pc has enough power to do live action gesture recognition. Mostly a gimmick.

- Answer It does support active stylus. It is a product specific one that most stores do not carry. You can order online at bestbuy.com for $60 model number T5E12AA#ABL

- Answer This laptop does not have a DVD/CD drive. You can hook up an external USB DVD/CD drive, but you'll need an USB-C adapter because it only has 2 USB-C ports. It does not have the typical USB-A ports.
