It does support active stylus. It is a product specific one that most stores do not carry. You can order online at bestbuy.com for $60 model number T5E12AA#ABL

If you don't want to pay 59.99 then wait a couple of weeks and Wacom will have a stylus called the Bamboo out in a couple of weeks. It is supposed to be at least 20 dollars cheaper.
