It has the Office 365 built in but you must purchase the annual membership. If you're buying at Best Buy they will discount the cost. As a long time Word user I love Office 365. Once you sign up you can download all the Office products to use off line.

The laptop I just brought (this model) does come with a 30 day Microsoft Office 365 free trial. But you will have to subscribe or purchase after the trial ends. (I subscribe and it costs ~$8/month) Hope this helps
