• It keeps pretty cool for how much of performance it has. The fan can get pretty loud when you are maxing out this laptop, but it doesn't get too hot to the point you can't touch.

• It does get warm above the function keys but it's never gotten so hot that it feels uncomfortable in my lap.

• I have noticed that 1/2 of it becomes hot when I use it for a long period of time.

• It is not for gamers that's for sure but daily office jobs it handles well and barely fan noise so no it stays cool
