Hi Kira! My personal opinion is that this would be a great laptop for your college experience! I purchased this model for my partner for the following reasons: 1) Up to date technology (processor, RAM, etc) which will last multiple years (I'm hoping up to 5 years) before having to be replaced with a newer system. Plus it should be ready for an upgrade to Windows 10 when it is released soon. 2) Battery life (+10hrs) that will allow you to get through classes without having to be plugged in. Plus, it's super light to carry around! 3) Flexibility - b/c of its hybrid design (tablet/laptop) you can use it for multiple scenarios: typing with a full keyboard when you need to, tablet when you don't, the lid moves easily but will stay in whatever position you need it to without flopping around. 4) HD screen that is sharp and responsive to the touch interface plus a full HDMI plug and 3 USB 3.0 ports that allow you to use multiple devices (like an external monitor, keyboard, harddrive, etc) at the same time. In conclusion it has a lot of power and versatility that will carry you through your studies and is light weight enough that you can throw it in a bag without breaking your back. To be honest, some of your textbooks will be heavier than the computer. I hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Spectre x360, Macbook pro, Asus Zen would be my choice. If you want 2-in-1 this would be a good choice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The type of laptop that you want for college will greatly depend on the major you are going into. I would check with your college to see if you need a Mac or a Windows laptop. Macbooks are really nice and they are built solid. The nice thing about Macbooks is their operating systems are very clean and refined. Windows(PC) laptops are really nice as well. Windows is simply the operating system which means that different manufacturers can use it on their hardware. HP and Asus are both great brands so either would be an awesome choice. With windows laptops, it comes down to what features you want and the price you are willing to pay. To answer your question of if the high quality screen takes up more space on your memory-it is simply the screen resolution and will not affect the storage space in your memory. Personally, any laptop from from a reputable brand(lenovo, hp, asus, apple, dell...) should be fine. The important thing is to make sure it has decent specs such as 8gb of RAM, a nice processor, and preferably an SSD. Hope this helped.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would be great for college. But I bought my son a more traditional laptop with an SSD for college, for $600 less. My opinion - this laptop will be the envy of ANY non-Mac user. It is too cool, too pretty and too portable. It will disappear when you take your eye off it. Seriously, someone with steal it.
