• The SD card inserts almost perfectly flush...but leaves a sliver of the SD card beyond the edge of the laptop to be able to easily pop it back out. It is a Great Laptop! I love the SSD, boot up time in 3-5 seconds! And it looks and feels premium....it is premium! HP and Microsoft did their homework for this laptop!

• Only a very small portion of the card protrudes after being inserted. Just enough to push on it and trigger the release.

• Hi. I just tested to see how SD cards fit in the Spectre's SD card slot. They slide completely in, only leaving a small enough ridge on the outside for you to click them back out. My previous laptop only allowed for a halfway insertion of SD cards, and I never felt good about it!
