“Does this laptop run hot and do the cooling fans come on a lot?”

I've only had my for a few weeks, but so far it doesn't seem to run hotter than other laptops I've used. I can't say I've noticed the cooling fans running excessively, but I haven't used it for long periods of time yet. However look at the bottom and you'll see what appears to be a ventilation panel. You probably wouldn't want to use this on any type of surface that would obstruct air flow through this area.
