I downloaded Windows movie maker 2012 (because that's the only compatible movie maker program since this computer is windows 8.1). Windows movie maker 2012 is simple, VERY easy to use, but yet has many variety of video options (many effects, transitions, etc.). However, this program doesn't do OVERLAYS, so I recommend downloading Expression Encoder 4 to solve that problem if you're interested in that! :) The combination of those two will be just like (if not better) than iMovie because they're COMPLETELY FREE and EASY TO USE as opposed to iMovie only being available on Apple products. As for PHOTO EDITING, this computer (just like any windows phone) has apps you can download for photo editing (ex. Perfect 365) or you can even go online (ex. picmonkey.com).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't recommend this laptop for professional-level photo editing, obviously, but it has enough grunt to do basic to mid-level editing. The biggest liability is the amount of RAM, you're not going to be able to work in RAW format with much success. And I certainly wouldn't recommend this laptop for video editing of any serious nature. The onboard storage limitation alone would be a big liability. If those are the two things you really want to do with a laptop, you're going to want to go (much) higher range.
