If you are still within your return period - run back to the store and get something more powerful. I have owned this little laptop for just a couple of days and have experienced similar issues. If you are past that period, I have heard that you can disable "DTS", which is a resource hog for such an underpowered device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had distortion issues with the speakers: was mostly solved with a BIOS upgrade (recommended by HP's tech) and a switch to Windows sound drivers. Set the sound quality to its highest setting too: from Control Panel or by right-clicking on the sound icon in the taskbar, if I recall correctly. Took a couple of hours to get it to work... your mileage may vary, but try running the system with alternative or rolled-back drivers. Write down your changes in case you need to backtrack to the initial state.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The built-in wifi card is not all that great to be honest, and it will not connect to any router faster than 54Mbps no matter how fast your router is... if you want faster I highly recommend that you invest in a USB external wifi adapter.
