Thank you for the question. Dual channel refers to RAM, not the HDD or SSD. Dual channel RAM is a configuration in which two identical RAM modules are installed in pairs on the motherboard. This laptop has an additional slot to add more RAM for a dual channel configuration. There is no slot to add an additional storage drive, but you can switch out the 512GB SSD for one with more capacity. We recommend that a professional technician perform any upgrades.
