• There is no time feature on the backlit keyboard as far as I am aware. You clean simply toggle it on and off using its shortcut key.

• Yes, it does time out if you're not typing on the keyboard for a while. As far as I know, there's no way to set the keyboard to stay lit. It's a drain on the battery.
