Thank you for the question. Battery life is affected by screen brightness, use of WiFi, number of open tabs, etc. - basically how hard the laptop is working while on battery power. To use on battery power, adjust the settings to power saving mode and you'll see an improvement. Battery life tested by HP using continuous FHD video playback, 1080p (1920x1080) resolution, 150 nits brightness, system audio level at 17%, player audio level at 100%, played full-screen from local storage, headphone attached, wireless on but not connected. Note that this model supports battery fast charge: approximately 50% in 30 minutes.
