Good question. For laptops, you can purchase cooling pads for laptops that you place on your lap with the laptop sitting on top of it. Other than that, HP laptops have a technology built in to keep the laptop running cooler. It has HP CoolSense which acts like an AC for the laptop. It adjusts the fan speeds accordingly to match the use of the computer. I hope this helps!
