A battery will last based on the usage, background settings for wifi, NFC, App permissions, and cellular connectivity. I have made several adjustments and achieved a remaining percentage of 20-30% left at the end of the day. I would advise going to Android.com and looking at all the setting recommendations for your needs and adjust accordingly. Remember, this is a bare bones OS with no carrier or brand adjustments, so you need to decide what is best for your device in this circumstance, not the manufacturer.

One thing I would recommend is to go into the phone manager and ensure your phone is working at the optimal level, here you will be able to clear out unnecessary files as while as makes sure your battery is working at the best level for your needs.
