The main reason for no sim card access is that Huawei does not have any one carrier they work with in the US. Each carrier requires different bands of connectivity under 4G LTE, etc. Also, if it is a CDMA carrier they actually build their own components into the devices main firmware, etc. It is not worth Huawei Investing in that for manufacturing in the US if they have no singular carrier deal or multi carrier deal. Their Honor brand is often offered here in the US but it is technically a separate section of Huawei versus their flagship Mate series which is strictly Huawei, not Huawei Honor. The China Version used in the US will carry no Warranty as an international watch as it is voided per Huawei Policy (this policy is not just Huawei, but found in most products). Also, unless the bands of connectivity in the China watch are the same as the US, you will not be able to successfully use the watch with 4G if at all due to coding issues. If you do use it here, it is important to note that the 4G capability will most likely only work on a GSM carrier like T-Mobile or AT&T because GSM is the global standard versus CDMA (Verizon and Sprint). One other point if you pay to import this watch in Chinese version, it may not work at all here and returning may cost you double depending on shipping rates at the time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dear customer, There is no difference in the hardware between China version and US version, the China version doesn't support Google Moblie Service, so some google related features are not available. Currently the 4G version does not support the mainstream frequency band in US, please stay tuned to our official channels for more information. Kind regards (NF)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.US version does not have sim card slot
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as I can tell, the only difference is the lack of cell functionality on the US variant. I suspect if anybody offered this, it would be through a carrier. Which is unfortunate.
