Hey Kris, this memory as you may or may not know is built with more aggressive timings than the conventional memory your system requires and is made primarily for over clocking. This means most often having to go into the system BIOS and changing the memory timings to overclock the system and often times the OEM has those features locked and does not allow the consumer to change it.
