It is important to make such an investment only after doing your research first. No, it does not have an optical drive given the decline in software being accessed via this medium; most are digital downloads now. A quick search on Amazon yielded several decent options if you need to run your old discs for $15-$30 or so. I've also included an example recommended from Best Buy's product inventory.
