• Yes, but the case has venting in both the top and bottom, as well as the back w/ the fan unit. It's elevated underneath for maximum air flow. So far, I haven't noticed any excessive heat. It operates cooler & quieter than my last desktop; however, I have it on the floor near my A/C vent.
