• Make sure that the monitor is connected to one of the display ports associated with the graphics card.

• Try unplugging your monitor and try again. If this is a new monitor it might need to set the language first before it will display anything, and of course check that your hdmi cords are hooked up tightly, and that your hdmi cord is plugged into your graphics card and not your motherboard.
