• If a computer is using a graphics card you installed. Then you have to use those ports to display.

• Hi Jacob, Ideally, you should be using the display ports on the graphics card to make use of the card. If you want to use the HDMI cable on the GPU and the slot doesn't exist you will need to buy an adapter. Thank you.
