It's great for video editing. I personally use last year's model at home for video editing (I really don't do much gaming), but I purchased this one for my full time job and for my church to process live video for streaming (so it is doing real time switching and transcoding on multiple live HD video feeds like a champ). I've also done video editing on my church's... it rendered a 5 minute full HD video clip in a few seconds.

It looks like the system would need some upgrades as far as storage space in hard drives and also possibly upgrading to a dual graphics card setup all depending in which kind of videos you plan to edit together as far as quality. My best advice would be to do some research before making a leap like this. I will add that that for gaming I ended up adding in the Corsair ll120 fans for the case itself, it didn't have anything except for the exhaust fan and of course the graphics card and fan for the liquid cooling
