Definitely. It may take some work the first time, though. You'll have to work the two halves apart carefully and they really don't want to come apart. After that first time it's a lot easier.

Yes, I've used in on my Dell XPS laptop several times.

It should, but with Dell there's always a surprise waiting as they love their proprietary hardware.
