The company told me they did not currently have a three prong available, but may in the future. However, it was super easy to rewire the plug and stove for a four prong
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank for your inquiry of the iGuardStove. I’m sorry to say this but no we do not make the 3-prong anymore. It’s for an older outdated ungrounded electrical system and we didn’t get that many calls for them. However, due to a situation with a large clients we are going to re-introduce the 3-prong this year and its currently going through re-certification right now and probably will not be available until late summer 2020. In the meantime, we do have a workaround that is both simple and inexpensive. It involves replacing the existing wall outlet for the stove as well as the stoves cord from 3-prong to 4-prong. I have attached a sheet to explain the process. It’s not an instruction sheet as we have to recommend that you get a qualified electrician to do this but with homeowners doing their own modifications these days, if you have a handyman that can do this for you it’s really not that hard.
