• Yes, there is a gradually increasing volume on the alarm.

• Yes. It automatically starts at a lover volume and gradually gets louder when used with music. I don’t know if it does with buzzer alarm as I have only used it with radio alarm. When you set the alarm, you can set the maximum volume you want, but it will gradually rise to that volume.
