Please check the specs of your television. This will not work on newer televisions because the plug responds to on/off rules (commands). If you turn the television "off" (example unplug the TV). When you plug it back in to the wall, the power will not come on unless the power button is pressed manually. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check the amperage rating on the TV, but I bet it would carry the load. However in my experience it will not turn on my TV, only turn it off. Validate yours will work by turning on the TV and then unplugging it for a few seconds then plug it back in (directly to an outlet or surge protector) If it comes on then this plug might meet your needs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Modern televisions are not the best appliances to be switched remotely with devices like these. Sure, they are under the wattage rating limit, but using a switch like this is basically unplugging the TV from the wall every time you send the OFF command. When you attempt to turn it back on, it will just be powered, in standby mode. Generally you will see no picture, and the television may even go into auto scan mode. I cannot recommend any smart switch for use with a television
