• Nope, my wife just hooks them into the headphone jack and they work pretty darn good for such a reasonable price. We had to get them, while on a trip, because she forgot her regular pair and had a bunch of Zoom meetings.

• Nothing is needed. My kids plug it into the PCs, Roku, or tablets and the headphones work well. They use it for Discord chats and Zoom on the computers, and the audio is fine.
