Q: QuestionThe extra HW that is added as part of the appointment setup has item PAC RP5-GM11. That item retains On-star, SWC, and Navigation outputs. I don't care about On-Star and do not have SWC. May I purchase another type of harness? e.g., Crux SOCGM-17C.

• A:Answer You can use the stock microphone but you have to buy an adapter specific to your car. (Universal steering wheel adapter, if controls are built into your steering wheel)

• A:Answer I asked someone at the store to look it up for me before I bought my stereo. Also, if you schedule an installation, I think they tell you what you need, and they get it before you go in for the install.

Q: QuestionHello. I am setting up the gain on my Autotek M4000 amp. (used for 2 12'' subs in parallel) I ran a 50 hz tone at 80% volume (Pioneer head unit). The highest voltage reading I could get was 15 volts. Needs to be 44 volts. What is the problem?
