- Answer It can go into sleep mode and you will still be able to hear but the screen will stay on sleep mode until you wake it up. When it is on it stays on unless turned off.

- Answer It comes with a proprietary rechargeable battery that can be replaced. We have a monitor unit we’ve used for both our kids and in about 4 years we’ve replaced the battery once. You can get them on Amazon for like $8

- Answer I have had battery charging issues, but thought it was because I had not bought it new. Seems as though it does not take a charge at times. Can plug and unplug the battery and it is better some of the time.
