QuestionDoes this monitor record video and sounds in the night and I can check when I woke up in the morning? I especially want to know if it records sounds well in night version, even if there were slight sounds?

QuestionWhat is the distance from monitor to screen? I am looking for a monitor that I can see my elderly mom who lives alone; we live a little over a quarter mile away and want to be able to give her her space yet keep an eye on her. Suggestions?

- Answer I don’t know if this would be your best choice. I used it initially for my elderly Mom. It would go in and out and tell me it was out of range. She had a big house with adobe walls.

QuestionWe need a monitor to go from the front corner upstairs of our house to the back corner of the main floor. Another monitor we had would lose signal. Is this unit a powerful unit for transmitting the signal?

- Answer The monitor has a scan function where it will automatically switch between connected cameras every 3/4 seconds or so, but you can’t view more than one camera at a time on this monitor. I think they have a “pro” version monitor where you can view two at a time simultaneously

- Answer I think you have to get it directly from the manufacturer. I've never seen just the camera sold separately.

- Answer The monitor can have multiple cameras that it can pair with. I think extra cameras have to be purchased directly from the manufacturer though.

- Answer Honestly, I have owned this for 2 1/2 years and I have yet to find the root cause of this out of signal. I am wondering if it has to do with other wireless connections in the home. Mine will randomly just start doing it, and then stop for a few days and repeat. Not sure if we just got defective units or what.
