I used this cable to upload temperature data from a data logger, to my laptop with Windows 10, and I did not need to download a driver. It was simply "plug and play". The device software is "legacy" software, from back about 2008 or so, but it continues to work in Win 10. I needed this cable to "bridge" the device cable to my laptop USB port. I simply had to tell the software to use a different COM port from what it was expecting (3, instead of 1).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because every Windows system I have connected it to had or was able download the needed driver automatically. The only issue I had was that a couple of times I had to right-click the device in device manager and select manually to "update driver", but Windows did everything from there on its own without me needing to point it to a specific driver I had downloaded myself.
