You do not need a plumber to clean the lower filter, just follow the cleaning instructions given in the manual. It is a very simple and straight forward procedure. Worse case, if you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself, any handyman should be able to help you out. I have found that plumbers are a bit more expensive than the average handyman. If you decided to not clean it, you may find the machine to start smelling foul. Good Luck! Best

Please try again later.Read the manual, that’s has to be cleaned once a month to protect the pump , it is located in a really bad spot , back button of the machine, it’s recommended to do once a month, and when I took it out water spilled on my wooden floor, if I knew I would had not purchased it , it like a car that needs a oil change once a month:(
