“It recommends in the manual to only use cold water with a single faucet, do you know why this is? Have people tried using hot water with a single faucet and had success? Thanks.”

I use hot water with a single faucet and it works fine. I use only 1 hose I've attached to machine then to sink faucet & I've washed laundry using cold, warm, hot depending on what I'm washing. I also use "he" detergents because u can use less and get a clean load. It's better for the environment, your pipes and your clothes.
