Do I need to use a hot spot device with tablets? null

Tablet has to connect to WiFi to get online.it can be used offline .

Depends some tables have a built in "radio" that lets you use a network like Sprint or tmobile, if you dont have a slot for a sim card then you can only connect via wifi hotspots. this insignia tablet has no "radio"
