The 11.6" AFAIK has 1080p quality resolution compared to the 1280 x 800 resolution of the 10.1" and is $20 more based on the regular price. But at $79.99 this was a no brainer for me.

I have a bigger, more powerful laptop as my primary at home, so I decided on the 10.1" version because I wanted the smaller size for travel, but it was a toss-up. AND they put the 10.1" Windows 10 version with keyboard on sale for $80! I think both probably have the same or very similar components. If I were going to use it more as my primary I would probably go with the 11.6" version. FYI, I have not found the 2GB of memory an issue at all. When I launch Chrome I have it open 16 pages on startup and open more as I go. This has never been an issue; I have never received a low memory warning. I know that is a ridiculous number of tabs, but I use almost all of the default tabs several times a day and want them handy. I have been amazed at how much I like this little tablet, and I am certain I would have been just as happy with the larger one.
