• A:Answer I think it's fine to put it inside the garage as additional unit. We put ours in the guest quarter, so the guest can put their leftovers in a separate storage.

• A:Answer Yes, It can be transported on its side. Just remember to not plug it up once you stand it upright for at least 12 hours. Otherwise, you can throw it in the trash.
