• I just put my fingernails in the side grooves and lift up. Make sure there isn't any hidden tape? It has a heavier top then my last machine.

• There is a handle imbedded on one side of the top. Lift up on the handle.

• Just lift the handle up and take it off the bucket.

• On the top where the on, off, and auto switch is, there is a handle. Flip the handle up and lift with one hand.
