• Make sure machine is not jammed. Only shred 3-3 psprts at a time. Have 3 of them and they always turn on. Make sure the head us seated properly in bucket

• I would say just make sure there is no paperjam/check the little plastic flag/sensor in the center.

• Turn it back on see if the overheat light is on try and use the reverse button if that doesn't work unplug it and see if anything is stuck in the shredders
