I have not been able to find the db loudness, however I did just purchase this shredder and I am surprised just how quiet it is. I did download an app from itunes and it read 65 db (room noise) and the peak 95 db (while I was shredding paper) and while just the machine itself was running it was at 75 db Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is an app you can use on your phone to discover the DB level of this device, since it is critical to you. The noise (if you want to call it that) is a lower DB than a 757 jet or the 250 HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard motor on my boat. It is more DB than the armadillo trying to get underneath my fence.
