“What is run time before the auto shutdown kicks in?”

• The shutdown is a thermal event, not a timer. Load affects temperature. Feeding 12 sheets of paper vs 6 sheets would generate more heat and trigger an over temp situation quicker. The manual states continuous use time of 6 minutes.

• About 20 straight minutes of shredding before the “over heat” light turns off and it stops

• Whenever you over stress your Shredder, the overheat function will come on and shut down your machine, so try not to over work your Shredder and it will never shut down, because doing so, does weaken your machine.

• Once its done cutting a sheet of paper it stays on for about 10 seconds to make sure it's cleared out and then shuts off.
