Please try again later.I bought the 10 page shredder, same brand, definitely does not work at optimum with 10 sheets, 5 is ok and I just read that it runs for 5 straight minutes and needs 50 minutes to cool off? This is actually on the back of the shredder, wis it had been on the box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the 10-sheet shredder but usually keep the paper-stacks around 5. If the motor is struggling and slowing down then the wear increases and it will burn out sooner.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My last shredder, from Ativa (?) lasted a long time, too, then it quit quite suddenly. It was a pretty noisy thing, even with just the power on and not shredding. I really like this Insignia 10-sheet unit and I hope it lasts. You should run lubrication sheets through the unit from time to time.
