“Is there a light/indicator to let you know that the bin is full?”

Yes. There is a red light and written underneath "overload." I used it for the first time day before yesterday and shredded tons of papers and credit cards. What I love is it shreds the document(s) and credit cards into tiny little pieces like confetti.

Yes but I would suggest dumping when 3/4 full so that the paper doesn't back up into the blades.

There is a viewing window that will allow you to see when the basket is full.

No, there is no light. But there is a window you can see through and know how much waste has built up.
